Diplomatic Honours is to serve as an annual soiree and night of recognition and honour for exceptional Ghanaian Foreign Service Officers and a select foreign diplomats, diplomatic agencies and promoters of diplomatic ideals. So amongst other objectives, the following are some of the highlights and significance that Diplomatic Honours seek to achieve.

Acknowledging Diplomatic Excellence: The primary objective of the ceremony is to honour and celebrate diplomats and diplomatic actors who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, diplomacy, and exceptional skills in advancing international relations and resolving conflicts.

Promoting Peace and Security: By recognizing diplomats and diplomatic actors who have played pivotal roles in fostering peace, dialogue, and cooperation between nations, the ceremony aims to inspire others to follow suit and work towards a more harmonious world.

Encouraging Humanitarian Efforts: The ceremony will shine a spotlight on diplomats and diplomatic actors who have contributed significantly to humanitarian work, showcasing their compassion and dedication to alleviating human suffering and promoting social development.

Recognizing Sustainable Development Advocates: Diplomats and diplomatic actors who have been instrumental in advocating for sustainable development goals and environmental initiatives will be recognized, emphasizing the importance of addressing global challenges with a long-term perspective.
